Fiesta Royale Hotel supports Ghana's independence anniversary celebration
As part of activities marking Ghana’s the 52nd anniversary celebration of independence, Fiesta Royale Hotel, located at Dzorwulu in Accra, hosted the President’s Independence Day Awards winners to a dinner.

The event was co-sponsored by Nestle Ghana Limited attracted over 70 people comprising the 20 award winners, their teachers, some selected members from the Ghana Education Service, as well as Nestle staff and Nestle agency support team.

Addressing the students and their teachers at the reception, Sajid Khan, General Manager of the Hotel, urged the awardees to learn very hard and be patriotic to Ghana in order to achieve higher laurels, reminding them that the mantle of governance in the future lies on them.

He stated that education is of paramount importance in the developmental process of every nation, and so appealed to the awardees to let their awards challenge them to be more focused in their studies so that they will achieve their desired goals and dreams in life.

Mr. Khan, who noted that the teachers and parents of the award winners should be encouraged by the fact that their wards have been honoured by no other person than the President of the Republic of Ghana, urged the 20 award recipients not to downgrade themselves but set higher goals and aspirations, saying that they will be able to achieve those goals in life only when they are focused and determined.

He mentioned that after receiving the awards, society would be looking up to them and as such justify what has been conferred on them, and therefore, they should not relent on their achievements but let the feat challenge them to excel in their educational ladder.

The General Manager said just as Fiesta Royale Hotel which is a first class premiere hotel in Ghana and solely owned by Ghanaians hosted them to the dinner as part of its little contribution towards the celebration of the 52nd anniversary of independence, the awardees must grow into responsible adulthood and contribute their quota to building Ghana and placing it at a level that it can rob shoulders with the first world nations.

He assured the general public that the hotel as its social responsibilities, would continue to support various institutions and groups in diverse ways

Mr. Khan stated that even though the development of the young ones is the responsibility of parents various institutions in the country have a greater part to play.

He mentioned that Fiesta Royale Hotel is an institution which is committed to championing the course of such young ones in Ghana and that the hotel has made great impact in complimenting government’s efforts in addressing the numerous challenges confronting children in the country.

For his part, Sarfo Prempeh, Human Resource/Public Affairs Manager of Nestle Ghana Limited, told the awardees that they need to develop themselves in spite of what their teachers impart in them, stressing that they should apply the knowledge that they acquire and make the best out it.

He advised them to go beyond the sky by working harder and becoming champions and standing tall among their peers and thereby let the award influence their peers positively.
